Arnos Manor Hotel Bristol

What mattered, staff, service, quality of beds etc you couldn't fault but the Hotel itself could do with some titivation, looked a little tired in places. Would have been disappointed if I paid full price but will be going back again at discount price :-)

The interior decor is a little tired but comfortable. Staff very helpful. Food good, but a little pricey. Location handy for exploring area and within reasonable reach of railway station and Bristol City Centre. Immediate surrounds not good for restaurants, shopping etc. Comfortable bedrooms/ensuite.

Well appointed rooms, comfortable beds, ensuite has lotions, soaps etc. TV is often badly tuned to stations. The food is good, lots of breakfast choice, and good lunches/dinners/celebration meals. The hotel looks a bit tired, can be noisy because of position. The hotel is spread out and finding where your room is can be tricky. Sometimes there is a lack of staff in the bar which can emulate the 'Marie Celeste'. Staff are pleasant and helpful, will obtain taxis etc. and give directions. The position is useful for Bath and Bristol and access to Motorways.

We booked a double room, given key but it was a maintenance room building stuff everywhere, offered another room but only a twin room, had to wait around, didn't seem a very good check in system.

By road
Take exit 19 (M32) from the M4. Take the third slip road off the M32, the A4320 passing over three roundabouts and making a right turn at the third roundabout which becomes the A4, the Arnos Manor Hotel appears on the right hand side of the road.
