Kings Hotel Brighton

Very nice location, good service and nice sized rooms for the location, but parking was a nightmare had to spend £12 for 24 hours, eventually parked on the marina and got bus back to hotel. Bar very over priced as well, and Tv's were quite outdated. But all in all an enjoyable stay and great weather.

The bedroom had blinds which could not easily be adjusted and as there were no nets one could be viewed into if one didn't have them down. Also the windows could not be opened very far. The breakfast was good but didn't appear to have any fruit or cereals. The car park was not under cover and very limited space although there was a nearby NCP undercover car park.

I found the reception staff really quite rude and unwelcoming. The bedroom area was ok simple and clean but the bathroom had insulating tape on the floor and left a bit to be desired.

Loved the crisp white sheets and duvet cover. Not keen on the shower - no pressure whatsoever! Parking can be a problem, but it is the same for most hotels along the seafront. Overall not bad value.

A good central place with all facilities - great breakfast and the staff were accommodating to the fact we had to get away early in the morning. Would recommend it. Very good value for money.

An older style hotel in the heart of Brighton. Very nice breakfast - good value for money.

Location
The hotel is situated on Brighton's main seafront, with splendid views of the sea. It is a few minutes walk from Brighton town centre. The famous marina is situated 15 minutes walk along the promenade. Ideally located for Brighton's popular attractions such as the Palace Pier, Royal Pavillion, and the Sea life centre.

Rooms
All the rooms are in a good condition and are medium in size. All are furnished in a traditional and pleasant style, in creams and dark wooden furniture. All rooms are fully equipped with tea, and coffee making facilities, trouser press, direct dial telephone, television, and hospitality tray. The bathrooms are medium in size and are in good condition.

Food & Drink
The restaurant serves both table d'hote meals and a la carte International cuisine. Breakfast is also served here. The restaurant was completely renovated in 2004 and is very popular with both tourists and locals alike.

General
Kings Hotel Brighton is a seafront hotel set in grade II listed Regency building. This hotel is highly recommended. Any guests staying at this hotel can use the excellent leisure facilities and swimming pool at their sister hotel complimentary, which is ten minutes walk from this hotel. By Road
From London or M25 take the M23/A23 all the way to Brighton, then follow the signs for the seafront. On reaching the Brighton Pier roundabout take the third exit and drive west, with the seafront on your left hand side of the main seafront road, the A259 named Kings Road.

By Rail
South Central Trains, Thameslink and Virgin Trains operate regular services to Brighton from London and the Heart of England. Most services call at Gatwick Airport en-route.

The South Central "Brighton Express" operates from London Victoria Station and calls at East Croydon and Brighton. Journey time is approximately 50 minutes.

On arrival at Brighton Station a taxi service operates from the forecourt to The Kings Hotel in Brighton. Travel time is usually 3-5 minutes and costs approximately £3.50 for a single journey.
