We only stayed 1 night at the hotel. The location was very good, and the room was clean.

Great value for a money and this is. Staff are great. Room is very small and basic. Good for short term stay. However, if you do not need to think about budget do not stay here.

Portland Hotel, I found to be very good and the staff exceeded my expectations. I wish to emphasis that the girl who was on Reception was excellent and deserves to be complimented for her excellent care, customer service and attention to detail. The breakfast was superbly laid out and was fresh and very tasty. Staff were very pleasant and this hotel has allot going for it, staff wise.

The room we stayed in had a bathroom with floor tiles that were smashed and were not grouted as well as a hole in the ceiling plugged with toilet paper. The main room was tired but acceptable apart from a window that appeared to have a broken seal and had clouded up so much it was hard to see outside. For this reason I thought £44 including breakfast was not good value for money.

From the M6
Exit junction 6, take the A38 (M) City Centre sign, follow signs for Inner Ring Road West, M5 and Kidderminster. Then take signs for A456 Edgbaston and Ladywood. This leads onto the Hagley Road, the hotel is on the right.

From the M5
Exit junction 3, take the A456 Birmingham West sign, this road leads onto Hagley Road, the hotel is approximately 4 miles on the left.

From the M40
Continue to the end on the M40, join M42 West (Bromsgrove) join M5.
