Waterwheel Inn (The)

Location
The Waterwheel Inn is located on the North Deeside Road, 6 miles from Aberdeen, between Cults and Peterculter. Located to the west of Aberdeen and has impressive views over the surrounding open countryside and farmland.

Rooms
All the 21 ensuite bedrooms are comfortable and bright. The walls are cream and the light oak furniture is simple in its style. 17 rooms are doubles and the remaining four are twins. Some of the rooms have extra beds, and can accommodate more than two. Some overlook the stream while others afford views of open fields and countryside.

Food & Drink
The bright and airy in house restaurant serves generous portions of American, Spanish and Mexican style meals, alongside the more traditional fare. The conservatory bar is the ideal location to relax and unwind.

General
The Waterwheel Inn as the name suggests was originally a working mill, and the waterwheel is today a prominent feature in our light and airy restaurant. The Waterwheel Inn is ideally situated to take advantage of the many attractions of Aberdeen, such as the bustling nightlife and many excellent clubs, bars and restaurants.

Functions
The Deeside Suite is located on the first floor with its own staircase and toilets. It can accommodate up to 60 theatre style, and 25 boardroom style. For informal functions 80 people can enjoy a buffet style menu.

The Murtle Room is available for small private dining accommodating approximately 20. This room can also be set as boardroom style.

Driving
From the A92 (North Anderson Drive) take the A93 towards Banchory/Braemar. Follow the road for approximately 4 miles through Cults towards Bieldside/Milltimber. The hotel is located on the left-hand side half a mile past the Bieldside Inn.

Taxi
A taxi from the airport will take approximately 25 minutes and a taxi from the town centre/train station will take approx 20 mins.

Bus / Train
The No. 19 bus stops directly outside the hotel. From the railway station, the Blubird bus 201 to Braemar also stops outside the hotel.

Wonderful value, friendly and helpful staff. Only complaint - we couldn't find the TV remote control, but we did eventualy find it - under the bed!

We found the Waterwheel Inn a delightful place to stay and not at all hard to find. The staff were very accommodating. The restaurant also has good food-especially the salmon.
